It's A Process...
Our quality is superior because of the processes we use to make our products. Our founder comes from the science world and unfailingly applies the scientific method to product development.
We start with the highest quality materials and blanks available. We make all our own glow paints. Every product is made using proven techniques that create unique, extremely durable designs.
Every hard body bait goes through the same process. We carefully select the best blanks and we prep for paint by knocking down the surface with a green scrubbing pad and cleaning with 99% ISO alcohol. Masking is applied as needed by gloved hands and the bait will never again be touched by a human hand until the final topcoat is cured. From here they get sealed with acrylic clear. Then they get primed and sealed again. Each layer of paint is carefully applied with a midcoat added after every major step. When paint is complete, each bait gets coated with UV protective gloss clear to protect the paint from sun damage. Finally, FDA approved food-grade epoxy resin is applied to permanently seal the bait and each piece goes in a temperature and humidity controlled curing station. The epoxy topcoat self-levels on a turner to ensure a perfect finish. We use three thin coats of epoxy on each bait, creating a water-clear, nearly indestructible product. From here they get matched up with top quality split rings and hooks to match the application.
These products are stunningly beautiful, extremely rugged, and they are completely free from any chemicals or scents. Unlike baits made with toxic, stinky automotive or hobby clearcoats that off-gas throughout their lifetimes, leaving a chemical trail in the water, ours are completely scent-free. A fish's sense of smell is 1000 times more sensitive than a dog and this is an absolutely critical feature of our products. It's the difference-maker.
